人種差別発言によりHospital Records ShopからMistabishiのリリースが取り除かれる

今月12日、イギリス人Drum 'n' Bassプロデューサー / DJとして知られるMistabishiは自身のTwitter及びFacebookアカウントで発した人種差別発言により批判の嵐を巻き起こしました。

Facebookへの投稿は既に削除済みですが彼のTwitterアカウントではDonald Trumpアメリカ大統領が来月予定していた訪英の中止発表とその知らせに際したロンドン市長Sadiq Khanの発言を報じたIndependentの記事を引用した「私はロンドン市民でアメリカ大統領がこの都市を訪れることに興奮している。 Sadiq Khanは本当のロンドン市民ではない.....。」というツイートを現在も確認可能です。

2016年に当選した現ロンドン市長Sadiq Khanはロンドンのパキスタン系イギリス人の家に生まれ育ったイスラム教徒であり、そうした属性が彼の差別発言の根拠となっていると考えられます。

Mistabishiの発言に際してHospital Recordsは日本時間01月16日未明にHospital Records ShopからMistabishiのリリースを取り除くことを発表しました。Hospital Recordsの声明は以下の通りです。

At Hospital Records, Hospitalitydnb and Med School we do not tolerate racism of any kind. Our ethos of equality and total inclusivity to all remains, as it always has.
（Hospital Records、HospitalityそしてMed Schoolではあらゆる種類の人種差別を容認しません。我々の平等の精神と全てのものに対する包括性はこれまで通りです。）

Racism, xenophobia and bigotry have no place in our community. We are proud to be part of a diverse and tolerant community in which every person is treated as an equal no matter where they are from, their race or heritage.
（人種差別主義、外国人嫌いそして偏見は我々のコミュニティにはありません。 我々は彼等の人種や遺産、彼等がどこからやって来たかに関係なく全ての人が平等に扱われる多様で寛容なコミュニティの一部であることを誇りに思っています。）

In light of recent events we have chosen to remove Mistabishi's releases from our own store and direct any of Hospital Records' income received from his publishing and releases on all other stores to our chosen charity: LoveMusic HateRacism.
（最近の出来事を踏まえ我々はMistabishiのリリースを我々のStoreから取り除き他のすべての店舗でのHospital Recordsの収益を慈善団体: LoveMusic HateRacismに寄付します。）

2009年に発覚したPre-mixed DJ騒動の際も対応に乗り出したHospital Recordsですが今回も僅か4日程でリリースの削除という厳しい対応をとるに至りました。

今回の人種差別発言はエレクトロニックミュージックを扱う多くのWebメディアで報じられ、過去の発言も含めてredditやDrum & Bass Forum, Dogs On Acid等Drum 'n' Bassコミュニティーでも注目を集めています。
