本作はDJ FreshやAdam F, Pendulum, Baronなど過去Breakbeat Kaosからリリースされレーベルの歴史を紡いだ17曲の他、4曲の未発表曲を含んでおりレーベルの保有者DJ FreshやデビューアルバムのリリースをBreakbeat Kaosから行ったBrookes Brothersの新曲が収録されています。

Breakbeat Kaos celebrate 15 years with Junglesound 'Revenge of the Bass!' album

因みに本作のタイトルは映画Star Warsシリーズの6作目Revenge of the Sith（邦題: シスの復讐）に由来しており、2004年にBreakbeat Kaosからリリースされたコンピレーションアルバム'Jungle Sound: The Bassline Strikes Back!'が同シリーズの2作目The Empire Strikes Back（邦題: 帝国の逆襲）に由来していたこととの連続性を示しています。また、2006年にリリースされた'Jungle Sound Gold'も含めアートワークはStar Warsシリーズを意識したものになっています。
